Certain medical instruments are basic for first aid supervision. To be on the safe side, you cannot rely heavily on your hands when delivering first aid medications on an open wound. Your fingers might contaminate the affected area causing infections and further injury. To avoid risking more damage, certain tools are used. These include the use of trauma shears, tweezers and irrigation syringe. These items assist in cleaning the wound and prepping it up before applying the medications. An adhesive tape is also used to secure bandages and dressings in place.
