Dressings and Bandages

Accidents, whether small or big, happen without warning. Bleeding injuries usually call for more serious first aid attention. Depending on the extent of bleeding, a first aid kit might be a life-saving move. Usually, a bleeder calls for cleansing and bandaging to maintain its sterile state and to stop further bleeding. Dressings are made of various materials, and selection depends on the degree of the injury. A deeper skin injury that is bleeding profusely often necessitates frequent dressing and bandaging changes because the covering is easily soaked in blood. While in transit to the nearest medical facility, this type of injury needs frequent dressing changes and needs a certain amount of pressure on the wound to stop losing more blood.
